ADDitigal, the digital production arm of Moon Media, launched this spring and already has a number of projects under its virtual belt.
The group produced Earth Day's 40th Anniversary campaign, a branding film for Guggenheim Financial (via Rockefeller Consulting/Insight Capitalists), a spot for the NHL (JimBob/Dallas), and is in production on a campaign for Popcorn, Indiana (AdStore).
A little while ago, director Alex Engel of ADDigital decided to take advantage of his European heritage and spend some time overseas. "I lived in Berlin for three months, but my goal was to be shooting the entire time I was in Europe," says Engel, who recently helmed Web spots for the NHL and HVS Executive Advisors through ADDigital. He chose Vespa as his subject, shooting in Germany, Bavaria, France, the
UK, Greece, and, ultimately, the US.
Director Alex Engel and ADDigital capture key execs at their breaking point in this spot for HVS Executive Advisors. With operatic vignettes calibrated perfectly for the Web, "Opportunity at Hand" drives home the message that even the most seasoned power player will face a moment of crisis. They'll need someone they can turn to, and it should be HVS.
This summer, ADDigital executive producer Dan Klein will be executive producing a Hurricane Katrina special for BET. The hour-long program will air on August 22nd to help mark the 5th anniversary of the disaster.
The film will be Dan's third about Katrina. In 2006, he created, produced and wrote "Eye of the Storm" for FOX; John Goodman narrated the piece, which took a look at Katrina, LSU and its football team. In 2008, he produced "Building Blocks," a film for PBS about the rebuilding of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Hockey fans everywhere are seeing red in this spot for the NHL via JimBob/Dallas is the latest project from ADDigital, the digital production arm of Moon Media. Whether it's a traffic light, a car alarm, or a garage parking sign, every alert is a flashing red right and stirs emotion and exhilaration in fans. These occurrences can mean only one thing: it's Stanley Cup time!
Dan Klein, executive producer for ADDigital, took home his second EMMY Award on Sunday, for "Miracle in New York: The Story of the '69 Mets". Klein, who wrote and produced the film, won his first EMMY as producer on ESPN's "Outside the Lines".

In his latest rant, industry legend Tom Mooney presents ADDigital, his new model for digital commercial production. While Moon Media continues to produce Broadcast TV projects, Tom explains that Web advertising requires a different approach. “I have a little ADD,” he says, but the fact is, we ALL have ADD, especially when it comes to content for the Web, and we have to move fast. Here, Tommy raps about his approach and how it’s working for his team. ADDigital has already completed projects like the celeb-driven “b the E” campaign (www.Eday40.com) for Earth Day 2010.
